Two members of Russian punk performance collective Pussy Riot have reportedly arrived at their assigned prisons.
Their lawyer, Violetta Volkova, said Nadezhda Tolokonnikova was transferred to female penitentiary No. 14 in Mordovia, which lies in the middle of Russia's European region, some 650 kilometers from Moscow.
Volkova also said she had unconfirmed information that another Pussy Riot member, Maria Alyokhina, was sent to penitentiary No. 32 in Perm, near the Ural mountains.
In August, the two Pussy Riot members were convicted of religiously motivated hooliganism after performing a song protesting against President Vladimir Putin in Moscow's largest Orthodox cathedral.
A third member, Yekaterina Samutsevich, was also sentenced to two years in prison, but her sentence was suspended upon appeal earlier this month.
