NATO says a suicide attack has killed three coalition troops in eastern Afghanistan.
Afghan officials say two suicide bombers attacked the soldiers outside the provincial council building in Asadabad, the capital of eastern Konar Province, on August 8.
Authorities say at least one Afghan civilian was killed and several others wounded.
Regional government spokesman Wasifullah Wasify says the two attackers detonated their explosives outside the provincial council building.
Wasify said the council was meeting inside at the time but he could not confirm if any members were hurt.
Authorities say at least one dead body and three wounded victims were taken to local hospitals.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid says two of the group's fighters targeted a NATO patrol in Konar.
He claims they killed several foreign troops.
