Two Dead, Dozens Hurt In Moscow Plane Accident

Two people have been killed and some 40 others were injured when a passenger plane made an emergency landing at Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

Investigators say the TU-154 airliner from Daghestan Airlines, carrying some 155 people, was forced to make the emergency landing after two of its three engines failed.

Russia's flagship carrier Aeroflot recently withdrew all of its Tu-154s from service after a series of crashes.

But the Tupolev midrange jets -- which originally entered service in the 1970s -- are in continual use by smaller airlines across Russia and the former Soviet Union.
