Military prosecutors in Poland have charged two officers with negligence in connection with the plane crash that killed President Lech Kaczynski last year.
A spokesman for the prosecutor said the officers -- whose names were not released -- were charged with neglecting their duties and could face up to three years in prison if found guilty.
The men worked for a military aviation unit responsible for organizing flights for Polish officials.
Both have pleaded not guilty.
Kaczynski, his wife and all 94 other Poles on the aircraft -- including the central bank governor and most of the country's top military officers -- were killed on April 10, 2010, when Kaczynski's presidential jet crashed near Smolensk in western Russia.
