Police in London have charged an 18-year-old man with attempted murder and causing an explosion in connection with a bomb attack on the London subway last week.
Police said Ahmed Hassan has been formally charged with planting an improvised explosive device that partially detonated at Parsons Green station on September 15 during the height of the morning rush hour.
Hassan reportedly is from Iraq. He was arrested on September 16 at the English port of Dover while trying to board a ferry to France.
Thirty people were injured by the partial detonation, which sparked a massive hunt for the perpetrators.
Police later described the explosive device as a "very dangerous" bomb packed with shrapnel and said the carnage would have been much worse if it had fully detonated.
Three other male suspects remained in custody on September 22 in connection with the attack, but have not been charged.
