Germany will provide Ukraine with 10 million euros ($10.9 million) for the reconstruction of Ukraine's largest children's hospital, the Okhmatdyt, largely destroyed in a Russian missile strike on Kyiv on July 8, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze said in an interview with the German newspaper Rheinische Post on July 17. The German funds and other financial donations will be used to make the hospital operational again by winter, Schulze said. "The destruction of the children's hospital shows how ruthlessly and inhumanely Russia is waging this aggressive war. Children suffer the most from this war," Schulze said.
