Police clashed with protesters from a nationalist party near the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on August 14 when they tried to break through a police cordon. The right-wing National Corps organized the rally to protest against a plan known as the Steinmeier Formula, which provides special status for the Donbas region controlled by Kremlin-backed separatists.
