A Russian shell hit a shopping area in Kharkiv on May 25, authorities in Ukraine's second-biggest city said. RFE/RL filmed first responders rushing to the scene as thick smoke was rising from a hypermarket for construction and housing items. People were running away, one visibly injured. Civilians in the city near the border with Russia have faced intensified air attacks in recent weeks.
