Ukraine, Russia Show Soldiers Coming Home In Prisoner Swap

Ukraine and Russia announced a new major exchange of prisoners of war on September 14. A total 103 Ukrainian soldiers have returned, among them defenders of the city of Mariupol held captive by Russia since May 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry acknowledged that all 103 returning Russian soldiers had been captured during Ukraine's ongoing incursion into the Kursk region. The swap was mediated by the United Arab Emirates.
