This Man Had No Legs But Joined The Ukrainian Army

A 56-year-old man signed up to fight for Ukraine against the Russian invasion despite having previously had both lower legs amputated. Vasyl Shtefko joined the army at the very start of the full-scale invasion in 2022 and served for six months before being discharged on medical grounds. But he was then injured in a grenade attack after starting work as a local councilor.
