Ukraine Investigates Apparent Wiretapping Of Ukraine's Commander In Chief

Ukraine's commander in chief, General Valeriy Zaluzhniy

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said on December 17 that it has launched a probe into the discovery of a listening device "at a place that could potentially be a working site" of Ukraine's commander in chief, General Valeriy Zaluzhniy. According to the SBU, the device was not functional and neither traces of compiled materials nor other devices capable of transferring audio information to remote sites were found at the place. The device was handed to forensic experts, the SBU said. Media said earlier in the day that an eavesdropping device had been found in one of Zaluzhniy's offices.
