Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed a security agreement on May 28 while visiting Belgium as part of his ongoing European tour of countries pledging security assistance. As he met with Ukrainian pilots at an air base in Brussels who are being trained to operate F-16 fighter jets, Zelenskiy commended Belgium for being the first country to “specify the exact number of F-16 fighter jets – 30 – that will be delivered to Ukraine until 2028," the first tentatively expected in Ukraine towards the end of the year.”
