Police Crack Down On Protests Over Teen's Death In Ferguson, Missouri

Police fired smoke canisters in an attempt to disperse some 400 protesters late on August 17 in the town of Ferguson, Missouri. Protests erupted in the midwestern town after police shot and killed an unarmed black teenager on August 9. Police said protesters threw gasoline bombs and bottles during the latest protest. The state of Missouri has called for National Guard troops to be deployed to Ferguson. (Reuters)
