As the Texas Gulf Coast region continues to be inundated with a year's worth of rain in less than a week due to Tropical Storm Harvey lingering above it, U.S. Coast Guard rescue teams have managed to air lift dozens of flood victims to safety. Harvey, the most powerful hurricane to strike Texas in more than 50 years, first hit land late on August 25. Houston and the surrounding area must still cope with rivers swelling to record levels.
