Four Kyrgyz men were released by Uzbek authorities on September 8 after being held captive for more than two weeks. The men had been snatched by Uzbek border guards from a disputed mountain top where the Kyrgyz government operates a radio transmitter. (RFE/RL’s Kyrgyz Service)
