Municipal authorities in the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, unveiled a monument to the late Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito on December 19, the anniversary of the city's liberation from Nazi Germany by Tito's partisans in 1944. Tito ruled Yugoslavia from 1953 to 1980, a period recalled with nostalgia by some -- while others recall his authoritarian rule and political repression.
