Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met with Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson in Kyiv on February 24, the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, to discuss a new Swedish military-aid package and the possibility of joint weapons production. "Today is the day this tragedy began, and it is very important for us that our friends are here," Zelenskiy said, describing Jonson's visit as "an important sign of his country's solidarity with Ukraine." On February 20, Sweden announced it would deliver $682 million in military aid to Ukraine, the Nordic country's 15th aid package since Russia's 2022 invasion.
