We are looking for a skilfull studio Floor Manager. Reporting to the Studio Operations Supervisor, in this position you will be responsible for operations on the studio floor, including staging, cameras, camera operators and lighting. The Floor Manager has highly developed technical, organizational and creative skills. They work closely with the directors and other operational staff to fulfill the visual and creative desires of the production. The floor Manager is also responsible for the upkeep and distribution of field audio & video equipment. The position involves shift work, including weekends, evenings, nights, public holidays and on-call to support a 24 hour broadcast schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the studio floor area including staging, lighting, cameras and operators.
• Keeps track of the studio schedule to ensure that the studio is prepared for productions, that equipment is functioning and ready, and staging is in place.
• Ensures that Health and Safety regulations are followed in the studio.
• Managing guest movement in and out of the studio.
• Works with Broadcast Engineers to rig lighting fixtures and ensures cables are safely managed.
• Operates studio cameras as needed.
• Manages field audio & video equipment storage, and oversees loan distribution.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
• Specialized Education in audio-visual arts.
• Specialized training in the operation of television broadcasting equipment.
Work Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in broadcast TV studio production.
• Experience in live studio production - camera and lighting.
Competencies:
• Ability to communicate with people effectively and work within a team.
• Ability to learn new complex subjects quickly including new technologies.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic administrative skills (e.g. complete forms and reports).
• Ability to quickly anticipate, trouble-shoot and solve technical problems.
• Ability to perform physical duties of the job; must have ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. (12 kgs).
• Ability to work at height in a TV studio.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with external and internal clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Knowledge of broadcast lighting/camera equipment and trends.
• Working knowledge of field lighting techniques and technology.
Languages:
• English Language, mandatory.
• Native-level proficiency in Ukrainian language
