WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN THIS ROLE?
As a part of a dynamic and passionate Procurement/Contracting team, you will be responsible for processing requests for procurement services, from the requisition stage up till when the work has been completed and accepted, final payment has been made, and disputes have been resolved.
This job will be the best fit for those experienced in procurement with a focus on IT, Telecommunications and project purchasing. We appreciate a positive attitude to work, great communication skills and a “team player” mindset.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring competition for goods & services in the area of IT & Telecom, conducting proposal evaluations, monitoring tender procedures and communicating changes internally or externally
- Providing market analysis and other relevant information & justification for non-competitive procurement
- Drafting/reviewing procurement documents
- Working with budget owners on identifying & planning their procurement needs
- Competing, negotiating, and awarding purchase orders
- Participating in meetings as a procurement expert. Evaluating proposals as a member of technical/cost evaluation panels or integrated procurement teams
- Assisting in contract administration, including change orders, modifications etc.
- Maintaining procurement files, providing justifications if there is a lack of competition, providing cost and price analyses, incorporating applicable US statues etc.
- Daily communication with colleagues across the company and vendors, problem-solving.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and contract negotiations in the area of IT & Telecom
- Knowledge of theory and practice of contracting
- Previous experience participating in vendor competitions, negotiating complex transactions and with contracting for the commissioning/acquisition of content for distribution on multiple media platforms is a plus
- End-user knowledge of MS Office applications; knowledge of Procurement-relevant software like Oracle eProcurement, PeopleSoft or SAP is a plus
- Proficiency in English and Czech
- Ability to meet customer needs in a helpful way but to also stand up for themselves
- Accuracy and attention to detail

This is a locally recruited full-time position on a one-year contract initially, with a possibility of an open-ended extension after that. The opportunity is only open to applicants with the legal right to work in the Czech Republic.
