JOB SUMMARY
Radio Free Europe is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for Pangea Digital: www.pangea-cms.com, which is its proprietary content management system. Reporting to the Frontend Development Lead, the Senior Developer is a hands-on technical role, responsible for maintaining and enhancing current web applications. The Senior Frontend Developer will have the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that are used by media entities around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works under the guidance of the Lead, collaborating with Frontend/Backend Developers, Designers, and Project and Release Managers to define task priorities, technical specifications, estimates, and delivery plans.
- Develops, maintains, and improves modular, testable frontend software solutions, addressing development requests, implementing new features, and refactoring legacy systems to meet modern standards.
- Recommends high-level software design and ensures adherence to code quality best practices, high standards, and technical excellence in all frontend projects. Participates in code reviews to support colleagues' professional growth.
- Responds to urgent issues in production environments and performs other duties as needed.
OUR TECHNOLOGY STACK:
- C#, .NET Core 8, SignalR, RabbitMQ, MS SQL, ASPX.
- React.JS, Redux, TypeScript, CSS-in-TS, React MUI, Apollo GraphQL, Jest.
- Docker, Git, Azure DevOps, Grafana, Kibana, Jenkins.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Degree in IT or a relevant technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in successful software development projects.
- Strong focus on code quality, following best practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS) and using tools like ESLint/Prettier for linting and code consistency.
- Proficiency with the following technologies:
- Version control systems (Git).
- JavaScript and TypeScript.
- API integration (Apollo, GraphQL, REST).
- Redux and Redux Toolkit for state management.
- React.JS library and component-based architecture.
- CSS-in-JS approach (JSS/TSS/Emotion).
- Build tools (Webpack, Babel).
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools (Lighthouse, Webpack Bundle Analyzer), internationalization (i18n), and accessibility approaches.
- Familiarity with backend technologies (C#, Node.JS) and microservice architectures.
- Understanding of modern DevOps tools (Docker, Azure DevOps).
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and demanding environment.
- Proficient in English; Russian or Czech is a plus.
