Taliban Attacks British, UN Offices In Kabul

Taliban suicide bombers attacked offices belonging to the British Council and the United Nations in the center of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on August 19, killing at least eight people. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred on Afghan Independence Day, marking Afghanistan's independence from Britain in 1919.
