Aleksei Nikitin was a miner in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk who fought for miners' rights and warned of the working conditions. He predicted catastrophe and it happened in 1969, when 20 miners died. The KGB sent him to the psychiatric hospital, and he became officially insane.
