The Lasting Toll Of An Afghan Suicide Bombing
Daud Shah, a minibus driver in Kabul, was taking Afghan Supreme Court officials home in June when a suicide bomber detonated explosives near their vehicle. The attack killed Shah and at least 16 others. Though the bombing has since been eclipsed in the news by many others that have followed, the story of his family's suffering has only just begun. Mohammad Arif Ludin of RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan spoke to Daud Shah's relatives about the day that he died and their struggle to carry on in his absence.
