G20 St. Petersburg LGBT Protest

About 20 gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) activists staged a demonstration in St. Petersburg on September 6 during the G20 summit to raise awareness about the problem of growing homophobia in Russia. There was a heavy police presence separating protesters from a group of Orthodox Christian activists who came to disrupt the demonstration and throw stones.
