Putin: West Tried To Dismember Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin said outside forces had tried to dismember Russia, following a "Yugoslav scenario," during his annual state of the nation address in Moscow on December 4. In a defiant speech he also accused the West of trying to create a new iron curtain around Russia, but said that Russia was strong. Relations between Russia and the West have sharply worsened due to the Ukraine crisis. (Reuters)
