Thousands Protest At New York Chokehold Death
Thousands of people took to the streets of Manhattan for a second night of protest at the killing of unarmed black man Eric Garner, who was held in a chokehold by a white policeman. The protests were sparked by a grand jury ruling not to press charges against the officer, following a similar decision not to indict a white policeman who killed a black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri. A number of arrests were made, as protestors sang and chanted "I can't breath," reportedly Garner's last words. (Reuters)
