Litvinenko Widow Encouraged By Inquiry Into Husband's Case

The widow of former Russian security service officer Aleksandr Litvinenko, who was poisoned with radioactive polonium in 2006, has said that the ongoing inquiry is extremely important, but that she does not consider it a political investigation. Speaking in a London studio in an interview with RFE/RL's Current Time TV program, Marina Litvinenko said that she feels her husband would support her efforts to shed light on the case.
