Crocker: Iran Aiming For Permanent Division Of Iraq

Former U.S. ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker has accused certain elements of the Iranian regime of working to achieve the permanent division of Iraq into Sunni, Shi'a, and Kurdish areas. He said this would represent the "ultimate victory" for veterans of the 1980s Iran-Iraq war. Crocker was speaking to Niusha Boghrati, chief editor of RFE/RL's Radio Farda.
