Iraqi Forces Battle Militants Near Fallujah

Iraqi forces traded fire with Islamic State militants in the city of Al-Karmah, some 16 kilometers northeast of Fallujah, on May 28. Iraqi troops have been battling to retake Fallujah from the militant group since the start of a major offensive on May 23. The city has been under militant control for more than two years.
