Lavrov Calls For Syrian Peace Efforts To Continue

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the UN General Assembly that efforts to secure peace in Syria must continue, repeating calls for impartial investigations of air strikes which hit Syrian troops at Deir ez-Zor and a UN convoy near Aleppo. The U.S.-led coalition has said it struck the Syrian forces by mistake, but Washington blames Moscow for bombing the UN convoy. (Reuters)
