Donors Fund New Home For Blind Russian Factory Worker

Sergei Ivanov is one of dozens of blind workers at a factory in Rusinovo, south of Moscow. Struggling to get by on a meager salary, he shared a squalid flat with an alcoholic housemate. But after Current Time TV, the Russian-language network run by RFE/RL in cooperation with VOA, reported on his situation, thousands of donors answered an NGO's crowdfunding campaign to help improve Ivanov's life.
