Khamenei Says Iran Prepared To Restore Stalled Nuclear Work
- By Reuters
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned European governments that they are wrong to expect Iran to both stick to international sanctions and give up its nuclear program, calling such demands "a dream that will never come true.” Khamenei made the remarks in Tehran at an event marking the 29th anniversary of the death of his predecessor, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He said that Iran is prepared to ramp up its uranium enrichment work should the so-called Iranian nuclear deal fall apart.
