Mother Of Ukrainian Commander Held In Turkey Says Son 'Exchanged But Still Captive'

In September 2022, Svyatoslav Palamar was part of a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine. He was one of five commanders defending the Azovstal steel works who were released from Russian custody on condition that they would remain in Turkey until the end of the conflict. Palamar's mother, Lidia Palamar, says her son is in an undisclosed location under constant surveillance.
