For several days this December, Bosnia-Herzegovina's capital, Sarajevo, ranked as the city with the worst air quality in the world. Banja Luka, the country's second largest city, is also frequently smothered in smog. Environmental experts say the country will have to make major changes in energy, industry, and transportation to make the air safer to breathe.
