Earthquake Rocks South Asia

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit northern Afghanistan, causing more than 100 deaths and injuring hundreds of people both in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The casualty figures were expected to rise following the earthquake, in the mountainous Hindu Kush region, which was one of the most powerful to strike Afghanistan in decades.
