Karadzic Sentence Increased To Life By UN Court

United Nations appeals judges have extended the sentence of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, from 40 years to life imprisonment. Presiding judge Vagn Joensen said the previous sentence did not reflect the gravity of Karadzic's crimes during the 1990s Bosnian conflict.
