Ruins Of Ancient Buddhist Temple Set To Open In Kyrgyzstan
The excavated ruins of an ancient Buddhist temple in Kyrgyzstan are set to go on public display. The clay-brick walls of the monastery are more than 1,000 years old and stood along what was then the Silk Road trade route between Asia and Europe. Discovered in 2010 near the northern Kyrgyz village of Krasnaya Rechka, the restoration project is now nearly complete.
