Bulgarians Vote Again As Snap Elections Become Routine
Polling stations opened in Bulgaria on October 27 for the seventh parliamentary elections in three years. After the crash of a broad government coalition between the center-right GERB party, the reformist We Continue The Change party, and the Democratic Bulgaria alliance in April, a snap election followed in June but didn't bring about a new cabinet. Divisions and mistrust on Bulgaria's political scene have deepened, enhancing the role of caretaker cabinets appointed by President Rumen Radev. The far-right, Kremlin-friendly Revival party could be a dark horse in the polls.
