Crew Missing As Tanker, Freighter Collide Off Chinese Coast
The search continued for missing crew members two days after a Panama-registered oil tanker and a Hong Kong-registered bulk freighter collided off China's east coast. Chinese transport officials said on January 8 that search teams were still trying to locate 32 missing crew members from the tanker, including 30 Iranians and two Bangladeshis. All 21 crew members on the bulk freighter -- all Chinese nationals -- were rescued. The collision took place on the evening of January 6 about 250 kilometers off China's coast. (CCTV via Reuters)
