Local police say gunmen have kidnapped two Westerners in Pakistan's central city of Multan.
The Multan city police chief, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, said the two men were kidnapped at gunpoint when masked armed men broke into their house late on January 19.
The Italian Foreign Ministry said one of the men was an Italian; the other one was believed to be a German.
The two were believed to be foreign NGO workers helping victims of the 2010 floods.
There was no claim of responsibility.
