Georgian Prime Minister Meeting Merkel In Berlin


Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is in Germany, where he is scheduled to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on June 2.

He is also expected to meet with the president of the German parliament, Norbert Lammert, and address a Georgian-German business forum.

Members of the Georgian cabinet, including Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze (eds: a woman) and State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Aleks Petriashvili, as well as the Georgian parliament's deputy speaker Manana Kobakhidze (eds: a woman), are accompanying Garibashvili.

Garibashvili, along with his Moldovan and Ukrainian counterparts, Iurie Leanca and Arseniy Yatsenyuk, met with Merkel in Berlin on May 28 to discuss the Ukraine crisis.
