With more than 500 players now registered with ice hockey teams across Georgia, the sport is slowly making a comeback in the South Caucasus nation. Interest in ice hockey quickly faded after Georgia's independence and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. But now, thanks to the work of Mikheil Davitashvili's family, the game is enjoying a revival.
