Israeli Air Strikes Hit Gaza Towns

Israel launched an aerial offensive in the Gaza Strip early on July 8, striking at least 50 targets. Nine wounded Palestinians were rushed to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir al-Balah, as more injuries were reported in other towns. The attacks completely destroyed a number of Palestinian homes, some of which appeared to have been evacuated before the strikes. The bombing came after Hamas militants in Gaza launched dozens of rockets at Israel. (Reuters)
