Muslims Attend Prayers Across Pakistan For Eid Despite Government Coronavirus Restrictions
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims across Pakistan prayed in public on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Many of the faithful gathered in Islamabad's main Faisal Mosque on May 13 despite the government urging people to stay at home or to keep at a safe physical distance while offering the congregational prayers. Most worshippers were at least partially observing the government's coronavirus restrictions, including the wearing of masks.
