ISLAMABAD -- A drone attack in northwestern Pakistan has killed two suspected militants.
A correspondent for RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal says an unmanned aircraft targeted two suspected militants in the town of Data Khel in tribal North Waziristan.
Pakistani intelligence officials told Mashaal that the slain suspects were foreigners, but they couldn't provide further details.
This was the first drone attack this month.
It is believed the strike was carried out by the United States, but there has been no confirmation of this.
North Waziristan is considered a safe haven for Haqqani network members and their foreign affiliates.
The Haqqani network is accused of deadly attacks on NATO forces and government buildings in Afghanistan.
