PESHAWAR, Pakistan -- Pakistani officials say a roadside bomb attack has targeted a vehicle of a candidate in next week's parliamentary elections.
Raj Muhammad, a candidate from the hard-line Jamaat-e Islami party, was campaigning in the northwestern Orakzai Agency on May 4 when his vehicle hit an explosive device.
No one was injured in the blast, but the vehicle was badly damaged.
In a separate incident on May 4, a bomb attack targeted an election office of the cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehrik-e Insaaf Party.
Police said no one was injured as the office was empty at the time of the blast.
The attacks came a day after election candidate Sadiq Zaman Khattak and his young son were shot dead in Karachi.
Some 60 people have been killed since April in violence linked to the May 11 elections.
