Tajik Operations Target Renegade Former Deputy Minister

Video distributed by Tajikistan's Interior Ministry shows special operations in the Romit Gorge in search of a criminal group led by renegade former Deputy Defense Minister Abduhalim Nazarzoda. The video from September 7 shows troops retrieving the bodies of militants slain during fighting in the remote gorge. The forces also collected a large quantity of seized weapons and ammunition. Nazarzoda and his followers are wanted for carrying out deadly attacks on an arsenal and a police station on September 4. [Note: no audio from original video.]
