President-Elect Trump Meets President Obama To Begin Transition
U.S. President Barack Obama and the man chosen to succeed him, Donald Trump, met for the first time at the White House, following Trump's election victory earlier this week. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on November 10, Trump said they discussed various "difficulties," without elaborating. He added that it was "a great honor" for him to meet the current president. Obama said several issues of foreign and domestic policy were discussed, and that he would do everything he can to help the Republican succeed when he takes office on January 20. (AP)
