Thousands Mourn At Funeral For Ukrainian Soldiers

Several thousand mourners paid their respects to six Ukrainian army soldiers at a funeral in the town of Sumy on September 9. Afterwards there were chants of 'heroes never die.' It was the first multiple burial in Sumy, in north-eastern Ukraine, since fighting with separatists began in April. A ceasefire in place since September 5 has largely held, despite some sporadic fighting. (RFE/RL's Ukrainian service)
