Pakistani intelligence officials say a U.S. drone attack has killed five suspected militants in a volatile northwestern tribal region close to the Afghan border.
The officials said five missiles hit a vehicle and a house in Mir Ali, in North Waziristan, a region considered to be a stronghold of Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants.
It was the fourth drone attack in North Waziristan in less than a week.
The region is a stronghold for the Haqqani network, an insurgent group blamed for a number of attacks in Afghanistan.
